Sunday Planning: Set Yourself Up for Success

It's like meal planning for your wardrobe and it's a huge time saver, let me show you how a use a capsule wardrobe to make Monday morning a style breeze

Come on, we've all been there :) How often have you stood in front of your wardrobe this week wondering what to wear? Worse, you panicked in the morning, not knowing what to wear, because you suddenly remembered that you’ve got a meeting with a new client or a professional evening networking event to attend the same day. Happened to all of us.

But, there are two things that can definitely help you save precious time and give you a stress-free start in the morning:

1. Curate a Capsule Wardrobe: Having a carefully selected capsule wardrobe makes it easy to put outfits together and mix and match clothes. (DM me if you want to find out more about the magical Capsule Wardrobe.)

2. Plan Your Wardrobe on Sunday: Set aside one hour on a Sunday to plan your wardrobe for the week ahead. Here’s how to make it a habit:

  • Review Your Schedule: Start by looking at each day of the week and noting down anything out of the ordinary: important meetings, evening engagements, presentations, or travel abroad.

  • Visualize Your Day: Think about your plans from morning to night. Picking up your kids from school, a trip to the cinema, or a pub visit might require some extra thought. Travel might require clothes for a different climate, crease-free shirts, or comfortable shoes. For evening dinners, consider an outfit that converts from day to night, plus some accessories to elevate your look.
  • Plan Your Outfits: Decide on the best outfit for each day. Write it down, and even better, lay out your outfit and take a photo so you can remember.
  • Create a “Ready to Go” Pile: The night before, set aside any items you know you'll need—whether it’s a meeting outfit, something for after work, or pieces for a trip. This will save you time and prevent you from scrambling in the morning.

Let me know if you've got any more Sunday Style prep secrets! Would love to hear them.

This post has been inspired by Antje Langschs post about practical habits that make a difference.
